Here are my meals from Tuesday through Friday of this past week. I feel that this is a good sample because it includes work days and days off, meals prepared at home and eaten out, and a night out with friends. I wasn't very detailed in recording all portions. I included times to show how I use intermittent fasting (typically 14-18 hour fasts).
Tuesday
12:30 PM: 2 ground beef patties with cheddar cheese, 2 sausages, 1 large bowl of romaine lettuce, olive oil, balsamic vinegar, and 1 tbl of coconut oil.
5:00 PM: shredded beef, romaine lettuce, tomato slices, sauteed bell peppers and onions
9:00 PM: bowl of chopped meat and tomatoes
Wednesday
12:30 PM: turkey burger (no bun), 3 sausages, 2 small tomatoes, 2 tbl coconut oil
3:30 PM: large bowl of mixed greens, 1 large carrot, 4 chicken sausages, 3 hard-boiled eggs, olive oil, balsamic vinegar
Thursday
12:00 PM: 4 chicken sausages, 1 small tomato, 3 eggs over easy, 2 tbl coconut oil
5:00 PM: ground beef patty, 1 egg, avocado slices, roasted red bell pepper, 3 strips of bacon
7:00 PM: 2 glasses of champagne, 1 glass of red wine, small bowl of mixed greens, olive oil, balsamic vinegar, 11 ounce steak, 5 shrimp, carrot slices
Friday
10:30 AM: 2 eggs over easy, 3 strips of bacon, 1 slice of cheddar cheese
3:00 PM: 2 turkey burgers (no buns), 3 chicken sausages, large bowl of mixed greens, olive oil, balsamic vinegar, 2 tbl coconut oil
10:00 PM: large cobb salad (hard-boiled eggs, sliced bacon, bleu cheese, grilled chicken, tomato slices, and romaine lettuce), large ground beef patty, 3 strips of bacon
As you see, my diet is pretty simple: meat, eggs, vegetables, fish, and cheese on occasion. I do take a multi vitamin on most days and sometimes take an additional 200-300 IU of vitamin D, depending on anticipated time spent in the sun.
Some of you might think that I eat too much meat and fat and not enough carbohydrates. If that's the case for you, I strongly recommend reading Mummy Says John Horgan is Wrong about Fat and Carbs in Food, a recent article on Scientific American, to get a basic understanding of the health benefits of a high fat, low carbohydrate diet.

I don't think you are eating too much meat or fat and not enough carbs - sounds good what you eat to me, but why aren't you eating breakfast ? Or is that when you were fasting ? I don't fast but have similar diet to you, though I don't eat sausages ! Always real meat...I hope those were organically made sausages ?
Hi Anne,
I usually incorporate my fasts by eating an early dinner or by having my first meal later. I do eat early on some days, depending on the intensity of my morning work schedule and when I work out.
The sausages are organic. The chicken sausages were a gift from someone. Usually I just eat pork sausage.
Interesting. Would this be considered paleo?
I like the simplicity. Looks quite good, except that I am not impressed with the amount of patties and sausages. I get it, though, they are quick and easy to prepare.
Hi Floriana,
I wouldn't consider this hardcore paleo, with the coconut oil, cheese, and sausages. The beef patties are in my diet often, but the sausages were just something I was having in that one week period.
